Allison Van de Wetering was born on October 18, 2002. She trains at Balance Institute of Gymnastics in Illinois. She will graduate from high school in 2021.

Allison trained in Wisconsin at Midwest Twisters for several years. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships in the fall of 2011 as a level three. She moved up to level four in 2012. She placed fifth all-around at the State Championships. She competed the new level four in 2013 where she placed first on vault, third on floor and third all-around at the State Championships. She mobilized out of level five and began competing level seven one month after her level four season ended. She placed in the top five at several invitationals. She continued competing level seven in 2015.She won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. Allison moved up to level eight in 2016. She won the all-around at the Harley Davidson meet and Lambeau Leap meet. She was a member of the Wisconsin State Team for Regionals.

Allison moved to IGI for the 2017 season. As a level nine, she placed third on beam at the State Championships. She placed first on beam and fourth all-around at the Regional Championships. She placed sixth on beam at Easterns. In 2018, Allison placed third on floor at the Start Championships. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. Allison moved up to level ten in 2019. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships and top twenty at Regionals.
