Amaya Troy was born on March 14, 2000. She trained at Champions Academy through the fall 2008 season. She then moved to Airborne Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2018.

In the fall of 2008, Amaya competed level four. She won bars and the all-around at the Undersea Adventure. Amaya also won the all-around at the GCG Fall Invite and Halloween Invite. She finished first on vault, bars and the all-around at the State Championships. Amaya competed level five in the fall of 2009. She finished first all-around at the Begonia Gym Fest, Disco-Tech Invitational, Aloha Gymfest, Go Green meet and Hollywood Invitational. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Zone Championships. Amaya won all five gold medals at the State Championships. In 2010, Amaya competed level six. won the all-around at the Begonia Gym Fest, Go Green meet, Aloha Invitational, Disco-Tech Invitational and Teddy Bear Classic. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Zone Championships. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and third all-around.

Amaya immediately competed level seven in 2011. She represented Team NorCal at the National Judges Cup where she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Amaya won bars at the Lady Luck Invitational and beam at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Gliders Invitational and Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the Byers Invitational, Amaya won vault and bars. She placed first on vault and the all-around at the State Championships. In 2012, Amaya competed level eight. She won bars at the Flips USA Invitational. She finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Long Beach Open. Amaya won vault and floor at the Byers Invitational. At the California Classic, she won bars and floor. Amaya finished first on vault, bars and floor at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. At Regionals, she won vault, floor and the all-around.

Amaya began competing level nine in 2013. Amaya finished fourth all-around at the Golden State Classic and second all-around at the Winter Invitational. She won vault and bars at the Lady Luck Invitational. She placed first on vault, bars, and the all-around at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the California Classic. She finished first on bars and second all-around at the State Championships. She did not compete at Regionals. Amaya moved up to level ten in 2014. She finished second on bars and third on vault at the Lady Luck Invitational. She placed third on bars at the AOGC Invitational. She won vault at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She finished fourth all-around at the California Classic. She finished second on vault, second on bars and fifth all-around at the State Championships. She finished first on bars and third all-around at Regionals. Amaya placed ninth on vault, tenth on bars and 19th all-around at JO Nationals. She did not compete in 2015 or 2016.
