Lacey Squires was born on August 1, 2000. She trains at Flip-Flop in Rolla, Missouri, under coach Meredith Flint Sowers. She has a 3.0 GPA at Waynesville High School and will graduate form high school in 2018. Lacey started recreational gymnastics in 2009 and has not looked back. She is currently training Level 9. A consistent All Around gymnast and a dominant Uneven Bars gymnast; Lacey has won more 1st place medals over the past 6 years than any other. She has three 1st place – two 2nd place and 1 3rd place AA State Championship wins.

Lacey began her competitive career during the 2010-2011 season as a level four, placing second at the State Championships. She won bars and the all-around at the 2012 Level 5 State Championships. As a level six in 2013, Lacey won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed the new level five in 2014, placing first on beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships.

Lacey began her optional career in 2015 as a level seven. She won bars at the Arizona Grand Invitational and Meet Me in St. Louis meet. She won floor and placed third all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2016. She won the all-around at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet. She won bars at the St. Louis Classic. Lacey won vault, bars and the all-around at the Nashville Nights Invitational. She finished first on bars and beam at the State Championships in addition to placing second all-around. She represented the Missouri Super 8 Team at Regionals where she won bars.
