Kristina Peterson was born on December 15, 1999. Her older sister Maryanna is also a gymnast. Kristina trains at Metropolitan Gymnastics in Washington. She will graduate from high school in 2018.

In 2006 and 2007, Kristina competed level four. Kristina competed level five in 2008. She finished second all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Bunny Hop Invitational. She moved up to level six in 2009. She won the all-around at the Great West Gym Fest and Rose City Challenge. She won bars at the State Championships. At the Fall State Championships, she placed first on floor and second all-around. Kristina immediately moved up to level seven in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the Battle in Seattle and third all-around at the Bunny Hop Invitational. She won floor at the State Championships. Kristina competed level eight in 2011. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She placed second all-around at the Charity Choice Invitational and Seattle Open. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Bunny Hop Invitational. At the State Championships, Kristina finished first on floor and second all-around. She won floor and the all-around at Regionals!

Kristina began competing level nine in 2012. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Charity Choice Invitational. Kristina placed first on beam and floor at the MAC Open. She finished third all-around at the Bunny Hop. She finished first on beam and second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around. She competed at Westerns. In 2013, Kristina placed first on floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. She also won floor at the Battle in Bellevue. She placed first on beam, floor and the all-around at the Great West Gym Fest. Kristina placed third all-around at the State Championships. She won the all-around at Regionals. She competed at Westerns.

Kristina moved up to level ten in 2014. She placed third all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Rock n Roll Classic. She finished eighth all-around at the State Championships. She won beam, floor and the all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2015, Kristina finished second all-around at the Charity Choice Invitational and MAC Open. She finished third all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She won vault and the all-around at the Cascadian Team Challenge. She finished first on beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She placed first on beam and second all-around at Regionals. She finished sixth on beam, ninth on floor and 22nd all-around at JO Nationals. During the 2015-2016 season, Kristina won beam at the Holiday Express meet. She also competed at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She did not compete during the championship season.
