Emma Tolbert was born on October 15, 2003. She trains at Airborne in Tulsa Oklahoma. She will graduate from high school in 2022.

Emma began competing level four in 2011. In 2011, she finished second on beam at the State Championships. She competed level five in 2013. She moved up to level six in 2014. She placed third on beam and tenth all-around at the State Championships. Emma moved to Dynamo for the 2014-2015 season. As a level seven, she finished first on beam and floor at the State Championships. She finished fifth all-around. At Regionals, she won beam and floor in addition to placing fifth all-around. Emma moved up to level eight in 2016. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on bars, second on beam and third all-around.

Emma began competing level nine in 2017 as a floor specialist. She finished in the top three on floor at the Dynamo Classic and Phillips66 Superstar meet. She placed second on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she scored a 9.375. Emma competed level nine in the all-around during the 2017-2018 season. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Edmond Winter Invitational. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Hopes & Dreams Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the Vegas Cup. At the Dynamo Classic, she finished first on beam and the all-around. She placed first on beam and floor at the Pink Ribbon Invitational. She placed first on floor and second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on beam, second on floor and eighth all-around. She was the first alternate for Westerns.

Emma moved up to level ten in 2019. She placed third all-around at the Ultimate Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at the Dynamo Classic. She won beam at the State Championships. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. During the 2020 covid season, she won floor at the Jenks Winter Classic. She placed third on floor at the Nadia Comaneci Invite.
